In Morocco, Secretary Clinton Pledges Support for Civil Society Organizations

U.S. to help build digital capacity in NGOs around the world

In her address to the Forum for the Future, Secretary Clinton outlined U.S. support for civil society. Civil Society 2.0 will help grassroots organizations around the world use digital technology to tell their stories, build their memberships and support bases, and connect to their community of peers around the world. The initiative includes deploying teams of experienced technologists to work with civil society organizations to provide training and support to build their digital capacity and with increased capacity.  Through this support communities are better able to initiate, administer and sustain their own programs and find solutions to shared problems.
