Political and Economic Section
The Pol-Econ section monitors political and economic developments within the consular district and engages in fostering economic relations between the U.S and the states of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.
The Pol-Econ section maintains official contact with state government ministries, political parties, NGOs and businesses in order to contribute to the efforts of Mission India to cooperate and collaborate with the Indian government, civil society and the business community in areas of mutual concern.
The section facilitates U.S. exports to, and investment in the consular district, and provides advocacy on behalf of U.S. businesses operating in the two Indian states.
