It is the policy of the Consulate General to send your passport and visa to you using our courier service. If your visa application is approved, the passport with the visa should be returned to you by courier in a few days.
However, applicants may use the Counter Passport Collection to collect their passport across the counter at the VFS office in Hyderabad. Call the VFS help line 044-42316767 or SMS at “VISA US [passport number]” to 7333 and check for status before visiting the center. Counter Passport Collection will be available between 3.00pm and 4.00pm at the VFS Hyderabad Office.
Passports not collected across the counter will be couriered to the delivery address given by the applicant at the time of scheduling the interview appointment. The passport should be delivered within 3-4 working days after handing over to the courier.
