Location and Hours
American Citizen Services
The American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad provides a variety of services, both routine and emergency, for American citizens. It is open for routine consular services from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding official holidays and the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month).
While routine consular services do not require an appointment, please contact the ACS Unit at +91-40-4033-8300, ext. 8441 or HydACS@state.gov to make an appointment for Consular Reports of Births Abroad.
To visit the ACS Unit, please come to the Main Gate of the Consulate General located on Chiran Fort Lane in the Begumpet neighborhood of Secunderabad. Don't forget to bring your passport and other identification!
NOTE: Visitors will not be allowed to carry the following items:
• Mobile Phones
• Cameras
• Computers and other Electronic Devices
• Backpacks, Suitcases, or other Containers
• Weapons, Knives or other Sharp Items
• Flammable Materials
• Liquids and Powders
Security staff may prohibit other items. The Consulate General cannot store prohibited items. If prohibited items are brought by a visitor, they must be disposed of prior to entry.

The Hyderabad consular district covered by the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad is the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The Kolkata consular district covered by the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata includes the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Orissa, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
